HeyDoWhat Consumer Fee Schedule
Publication Date: September 9, 2026 Last Updated: September 9, 2026
1. Scope and Incorporation
This Consumer Fee Schedule states the current Consumer Platform Service Fee under the HeyDoWhat Terms of Service (the Terms). It applies only when the checkout record identifies this version as governing the Booking. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms.
The checkout page must display the dollar amount of the Consumer Platform Service Fee before the Consumer commits to pay. The immutable transaction record must preserve the governing Schedule version, rate, base, calculated amount, applicable tax, and any later return or correction. A different future rate or formula applies only prospectively after release and disclosure; it does not alter a completed Booking.
2. Current Rate and Base
The Consumer Platform Service Fee is three percent (3%) of the Fee Base for each Booking.
The Fee Base is the original pre-Tax public Listing price allocated to the Booking, including the quantity purchased, minus genuine Merchant-funded discounts, coupons, or price reductions, plus a Merchant-controlled mandatory charge that is part of the consideration for the Merchant Offering. The Fee Base excludes:
- Taxes;
- tips or gratuities;
- the Consumer Platform Service Fee itself and any Tax attributable only to that fee;
- a true pass-through amount collected for an identified third party and not retained or controlled by Merchant; and
- another amount that Applicable Law requires HDW to exclude.
An HDW-funded discount, Bucket A In-App Credit, Bucket B Reward Point, or other HDW-funded benefit does not reduce the Fee Base to the extent Merchant remains entitled to equivalent consideration. The Fee Base is determined from the substance of the transaction and cannot be increased or reduced through a misleading label.
3. Calculation and Rounding
HDW calculates the Fee once for each Booking using its aggregate Fee Base, including the quantity purchased within that Booking. The percentage result is rounded to the nearest cent, with an exact half-cent rounded away from zero. Quantity within a Booking does not create a separate Booking or a separate Fee calculation. Partial returns are governed by Section 4.
4. Cause-Specific Returns
The following rules determine whether the Fee is returned. They do not reduce a mandatory Consumer remedy or permit duplicate recovery.
- Void or cancellation before charge. If the Booking and Fee are not captured or collected, the Fee is zero.
- Valid full Consumer-policy refund. If the Consumer receives a valid full refund under the cancellation or refund terms fixed in the Transaction Snapshot, HDW returns the full Fee.
- Valid partial Consumer-policy refund. HDW returns the same proportion of the Fee as the proportion of Fee-Base consideration returned to the Consumer. The retained Fee is calculated from the retained Fee Base, with a correction for any rounding difference so the total returned and retained Fee equals the original Fee.
- Merchant-caused full unwind. For Merchant cancellation, refusal, overbooking, verified nonperformance, Merchant-induced circumvention, or another Merchant-caused event requiring a full unwind, HDW returns the full Fee to the Consumer. Merchant responsibility for that returned Fee and any related Fee Tax is governed separately by the Merchant agreement.
- Merchant-caused partial unwind. For a supported partial Merchant-caused remedy, HDW returns the Fee proportion attributable to the returned Fee Base. Merchant responsibility for the returned amount and related Fee Tax is governed separately by the Merchant agreement.
- HDW-caused full or partial unwind. HDW returns the corresponding full or proportional Fee. The Merchant does not reimburse a Fee returned solely because of HDW cause.
- Late, no-show, nonrefundable, or ordinary-expiry event. The Fee remains charged when the Consumer receives no return of Fee-Base consideration under the governing terms. Ordinary Generic Deal expiry and conversion of eligible paid value to Bucket A do not alone return the Fee.
- Voluntary accommodation outside policy. HDW may return some or all of the Fee when Merchant requests or HDW grants an accommodation outside the governing policy. If the return is attributable to Merchant's request or conduct, Merchant responsibility is governed by the Merchant agreement.
- Payment error, duplicate charge, fraud, chargeback, or mandatory law. A supported error or duplicate is corrected, and other outcomes follow the authoritative processor result, the Terms, Applicable Law, and the rule against duplicate satisfaction.
5. Taxes, Tender, and Records
Tax on the Consumer Platform Service Fee, if any, is calculated and disclosed separately at checkout under the implemented tax configuration and Applicable Law. Tax is not included in the Fee Base. A return of the Fee includes the corresponding Fee Tax when required by law or the governing transaction configuration.
Use of Wallet or another supported tender does not change the Fee calculation when the Fee is validly charged. Eligible tender and any amount requiring an external payment method are determined and displayed at checkout; this Schedule does not promise that Bucket A or Bucket B may satisfy any particular Tax or charge.
6. Changes, Precedence, and Contact
HDW may release a prospective version of this Schedule. A new version does not alter the fee for a completed Booking. Mandatory law controls, followed by the Terms, this Schedule for the Fee it expressly governs, the applicable Refund and Cancellation Policy, and the immutable checkout disclosure and transaction record. A Merchant term cannot reduce a Consumer right under this Schedule.
